I was looking through the loans & grant sections on business.gov. I was surprised to find many of these are limited to certian groups of people, such as women, minorities, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it '...that all men are created equal...'? In my opinion a truly equal nation would not discriminate against anyone for any reason. Black, White, Man, Women, ..., would be exactly equal. What do you think?
Banks and grant making institutions are not discriminating on the basis of sex or ethnicity, but they do 'discriminate' on the basis of the type of business you are starting and your past credit history. Think about it - if there were no standards to guarantee that an applicant can repay the money everyone would apply for a loan or grant for any reason.
