Thanks. I should have been a little more specific. I'm trying to track down information regarding community-based nursing home care services for the VA. I've checked the FFATA portal and find a number of acquisitions that look as if they are for those services. However, I haven't found on FedBizOps or the GSA Help Desk either solicitations for these services or appropriate schedules that would apply. The closest is 738X 595-28 but a quick scan of contractors under that SIN doesn't seem to include nursing home services.

I did a search for you, but couldn't find a direct contact number for nursing home care service contracts in VA. However, you may find out more information by contacting the Office of Licensure and Certification at the Virginia Department of Health by calling (804) 367-2102. I found this information in Virginia Department of Social Services.

My experience with them is that hey have been extremly slow with our submission for staffing with the VA. Our package has been in since January an no one has even looked at it. I am a federal employee and that gives us all a bad name when you take you time doing your work.

Contracting with the USDVA is multifaceted. On the one hand, the VA uses fedbizopps (www.fbo.gov) like all other federal agencies. At the same time, much of what the VA procures is done off the radar. So, it depends on what you are interested in selling. Please clarify Jos A. Rivera, J.D. I understand that in order to do ANY business with the VA you must be a GSA Schedule holder. We have heard from many companies that they had been asked for a GSA Schedule number prior to contract award. If you are seeking government contracts, do yourself a favor and get on schedule!
