I advise going for a C corp or S Corp. Which one depends on a few variables. Are you going to be profitable in your first year or are you going to be taking losses? There's a book called 'Own Your Own Corporation' by Garrett Sutton (a corporate attorney) and he lays it all out for you. I chose to incorporate when I started my company in 2004 because there are many advantages of having a corp (for me it was the tax benefits and liability protection.). By that book, read it and you'll know what is right for you. Don't just rely on peoples opinions in this forum.

LLC have numerous advantages over corporations. But inevitably if you become large enough you'll eventually end of being a corporation one day! I've just launched a new business sellling Kitchens and Kitchen Appliances which is proving successful as an LLC. This post was edited to remove a commercial link. One small note is that in California you cannot use LLC's for services which require a license in some cases. Therefore, you cannot operate an LLC if you are an attorney or an optometrist. I don't think that construction comes into play so you might want to check into that. Make sure you check in with your particular state to see if you can perform licensed services with an LLC.
