Data.gov wants your mashups!
When: August 24 and 25, 9 am - 5 pm
Where: 1920 N St NW, Washington D.C. 20036
Who: You! Agency data stewards and developers
Why: To learn from us and each other
Special Guest: Semantic Web inventor Dr. Jim Hendler
The U.S. government is in the vanguard of the emerging Semantic Web; sometimes called Web 3.0- and Data.gov is hosting a Mashathon to help familiarize Data.gov developers with using it. Spend two days with us to create a new generation of 'linked-data' mashups.
Participants will be divided into small teams guided by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) developers, to develop useful mashups to share at the end of Mashathon. Attendees will get to vote on which demos should be proposed for hosting on Data.gov!
