What makes doing business with you better than than the competition. Once you position yourself as a 'Leader' in your Jean niche, you can change your business plan. We still use a couple of Amazon sites to test ad campaigns, conversions etc. Amazon is trusted, so you can focus on which ad works better for you. Start by reading a lot of ebusiness journals / discussion forums / browsing similar sites, etc... there is plenty of free guides online... what i suggest is to note down the points / ideas that are relevant to your business idea of setting up an online store. All the very best!

Another idea is to sign up with LinkedIn and search for groups that are particular to your industry.

Suggestion: browse ebay/amazon/ioffer for pricing strategies use CubeCart as your shopping cart    do a lot of research before starting anything..unless your prices are good , you dont stand a chance against some/most competitors   also make sure your products are real and not replicas/copy

Have you found a shopping cart system yet? I would go open source, its free except hosting, and full customiziable. Zencart, oscommerce, nopcommerce are just a few.Depending onserver you are using, windows or linux that will help with your decision. Just a thought, I think the first major step.   -Paul
