I was paralized in 2003 at the age of 24yrs. old, At that time I had a Great job that payed well and I could afford to pay my bills. Since then I have been living on disability, I suffer a wide range of issues stemming from my accident. I tried to go back to work after I was done with rehabilitation, and quickly found out that working an eight hour day was not going to be possible. I am going to start a small business and Ineed to work from home, That way I set my own hours which will allow me the freedom to work when my body says its ok. My question is is there any financial assistance for disabled people that wants to work, but needs a place to live and work from home?

I know that there are definitely services which pay those unemployed, but i don't know if it would be allowed while running a work-at-home business. You should try a Google search and I'm sure it will yield good results.

I would suggest that you first start by identifying business ideas before looking for financing. Find what type of business you want to run from your home first - then find ways to finance. In fact, if you find the right business - it might not require any financing at all - just your time.

Have you contacted your state department of vocational rehabilitation? They help the disabled with training and other services that are necesary to help you succeed and rejoin the work force.

Personally, I don't know of anything that prevents a disabled person from obtaining finance per se. You could go the normal route of applying for business finance. Normal credit granting criteria would apply.

First kudos for wanting to open a business I would advise you to look in to an online business where the work is not physically hard and you can work at your own pace and at your own hour. Regarding financing it is very hard right now to get any financing at all so I would not put my hopes up high for financing. Good luck
