I'm a 100% disabled veteran, from my two tours of Iraq, who has a web site ( www.sittinprettyusa.com ) and give the profits from it to the VA Volunteers who help us recover from our injuries without pay,and the Soldier's Angels who support the troops, and the Purple Heart association. I'm a life-menber of the Purple Heart Association.

My question is how do I advertise with a small budget?

My items are all copy-righted, and I hope to sell to all the veterans canteen stores in the VA Hospital.

I'm having a hard time finding address to mail to, such as Armed forces reserve center. Is a mail out effictive? Thanks to anyone who answers this. GMCM (EXW) Larry

Thank you for the information. I'm also looking to find military site to do ad's with, like the paper I use to see when I was in DC. I have been placed on the Soldier's Angel web site and that has helped alot. I have been able to buy several laptops computers for disabled vet's, WII games to help with rehab, so I'm really blessed and hope to keep growing and doin more. But ageold problem of trying to start and reach the right people. GMCM (EXW) LARRY

Mass mailings can be effective if they are very targeted - targeted to the right individuals or organziations. I would suggest that you contact your local Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and contact SCORE (score.org). Their services are free and can help you market and advertise on a small budget. Plus, they may even be able to help you find the mailing list you are searching for. If doing bulk mailing - use the services of your chamber of commerce. These chambers are non-profits and thus get non-profit mailing rates - you can use their mailing rates - could save you 20% to 30% on your mailings.
