DayCare assistance

Hello,

 

We have an in-home daycare established and have more demand than capacity. We would like to expand to a commercial facility but with the economic climate being as it is cash is tight. Is anyone familiar with a government agency that will assist with low interest loans or startup grants for items like equipment and such?

 

We are state licensed in Michigan.

 

Any help would be appreciated

I just did a simple internet search for 'daycare loans' and received tons of companies that either provide commercial real estate loans for daycares as well as grants. Might want to start there. Could also contact your state government to see if they provide any grants or subsidized loan programs for area that need more daycare services. Could also try our site as we list several sources of commercial real estate providers.

U.S. Small Business Assoscation: www.sba.gov   That would be the best place to start if you're planning on starting a day care facility and need a loan to get started. With the current climate employed people still need a place to watch their childern while they work. By the time you get everything going we should be heading out of the economic climate we are currently in.
