How do I get a gov. loan to expand

I already run a custom and handmade clothing business out of my home but I would like to open a shop in my area. I have no idea where to look to for funding. The bank is out since I have less than perfect credit. Any ideas would be appreciated.

sweetp, Have you seen the blog from the Loans and Grants Advisor on Loans for Business Owners With Poor Credit? Although having poor credit certainly a challenge when looking for financing, there are alternative avenues you can look into. Good luck!

There are some ways of financing with bad credit - but they usually require some sort of financial assets like credit card receipts or accounts receivables. There are also other sources for small amounts as long as your credit is not all that bad. We list many resources and information on our website that outline financing options for small businesses. Your other option would be to fix your credit. You would be surprised at how many doors would open for you if you have good to excellent credit.
