As I consultant to small business owners, I find that the important key is to consistently implement the strategies for promoting your business. I will discuss two areas: existing clients and new prospects. Let's do the strategies I am describing. 1. Existing Clients: When was the last time you asked them for a referral? After all they are already happy with you. In the last six months have you asked them if they need help? Have their needs changed so that they need an update? Do they need a bigger program that will help them more? Check in with existing clients. 2. Get New Prospects: Seminars, networking events, social media and strategic alliances are fast ways to get new prospects and clients. Seminars are great to meet many people at once. What organizations and companies serve your target market? Ask friends and clients what organizations they belong to. Also research on the Internet and the library. Plan your talk, call people to action, and have a sign up sheet. Strategic alliances are usually people who already have the clients that you want, but are not competing with you. An example is a bookkeeper would know a CPA, a corporate lawyer, and insurance agent, a web designer, and a marketing expert. You can refer clients to each other. You can do some of your seminars together. Joint venture and share marketing costs, work together on projects, and the list goes on. At networking events, bring plenty of business cards. Get to know new people. Don't just stay with the people you already know. Add them to your data base. Keep in contact with them. Follow up for an appointment and for leads. For social media, get in the conversation. When people respond to you, reply to them promptly. You can also contact me. Leave your contact information and we will send you compliementary tips periodically. Some of these tips are from my book "Building Wealth Through Challenges' at Amazon.com and at specialty retailers. Enjoy the tips. Let me know how they worked out for you.
