Hello, my name is Ricardo. I reside in Orem, Utah and I'm trying to earn some extra money while I go to school. I opened a website, www.notepadscustomized.com to sell custom printed post-it notes. I feel as though it is pretty random, but when I worked for local companies, many used custom printed sticky notes as flyers. Now that I have my site up, I have a lot of competition online. I thought I found a niche, but I can't seem to get too high up on certain keywords, like 'custom printed post-it notes' and 'colored post it notes'. Anyway, I'm pleased to be here and I'm looking forward to learning a lot from committed people.
Are you using your location as keywords? Businesses in your community may be
interested in working with a local company rather than a stranger. Are you
marketing to local companies? If not, make up a pad for each company you want
to target and send it along with your brochure and order form. Just be sure
you target the right person within each company - the one who can make
purchase decisions. You might also market to individuals within corporations,
schools, etc. with notes that say: From the desk of...."
