equate to high or higher organic search engine results. I've seen plenty of
sites (with high quality content) and little to no pagerank outrank sites
with higher pagerank. In the end, search engine marketing is about ranking in
the top 5 organic listings on a specific search engine. Pagerank isn't really
all that important to do that. Focus on rankings and you'll find your SEO
work to be much more effective.

Toolbar PageRank (which is a visual representation of the range of PageRank
values in which your site falls).
The PageRank algorithm is still one of the two fundamental elements of
Google's search engine; the other being relevance/correlation. At the most
fundamental level, you have "importance" and "relevance." The theory is that
the most satisfying search result is the one that is the most important and
trustworthy on a given topic.
The Toolbar PageRank values are believed to be a logarithmic segmentation of
the true range of PageRank values. As the WWW expands, the range of actual
PageRank values increases. So, Toolbar PageRank values will naturally rise
and fall. For example, google.com might fall into the PR10 range. Later, when
Google takes another snapshot of the range of PageRank values, google.com
might fall into the PR9 range. It's not that Google has lost PageRank, but
rather that the upper limit of PageRanks has increased to where google.com no
longer falls within the uppermost range.
Long story short, don't worry about the Toolbar PageRank. Focus on building
good links. Every followed link sends PageRank to your site.

addition, page rank takes time into consideration, so yours will not jump
significantly overnight.
