I made a website called which sells books, DVDs, and Video Games. I don't have much start-up money so I need a cheap way to promote my business. I tried posting on Facebook and putting up flyers but that didn't work. I recently tried direct mail and I'm waiting on the response. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Unlike most sites, with this site when you choose to buy a book, dvd, or video game, you will be sent a random item in that category. Ordering from this site will open you up to new experiences and could even change your life!

Just a tip, next time put your website in your profile. You are not allowed
to add links in the body of the post, but links are allowed in the
"signature". The reason why I am mentioning this is that we might be able to
give you feedback on the website as it could very well be a conversion
problem. Do you have Google Analytics or similar installed? Do you even know
if you are getting visitors?
There is a lot you could be doing that is cheap/free. You should look into
search engine optimization to make your site more visible on search engines
for the product you're selling. There are a lot of free resources out there
to help you perform basic SEO on your website. Otherwise you can pay a little
bit to start your site off with PPC advertising, like Google Adwords or
Facebook Ads. You set your own budget and can get tons of new visitors in a
short amount of time. Hope that helps.
