Hi everyone. Anyone know the differences between Google SEO and Bing SEO? A lot of people say 'If you rank high in Google you'll rank high in Bing' but that's so not true. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate a reply.

The general idea of both Google and Bing is very similar but their are some differences. Google scan and index the Internet much faster and it is much more updated. Bing is giving more weight to on page factors like meta tags, headlines and such. Also, Google has a better success with spammers.I think that the focus should always be on Google when you do SEO because you can't ignore the fact that they rule something like 75% of all search traffic!

You have a point there, but take a look on this graphic here potpiegirl.com/2010/07/who-cares-about-bing/ and see for yourself that Yahoo and Bing met together and combined they have a percent of 31.6% from global search engines. Plus the traffic coming from Yahoo and Bing is better than the one coming from Google, because I can see this in my analytcis account. I mean that Google pays me more money for the ads clicked through Bing and Yahoo visitors.

Not sure if you are trying to do it your self or hire someone. Depending on the complexity of the site and competiion of the keywords you may need to hire a professional SEO. If you are a local business owner with a niche market you may be able to do 80% of the work yourself. No two websites have the same SEO plan there is no one size fits all for search engines or websites.
off course there will be difference in google seo and bing seo, as both search engine have there own algorithm for seo. Google give more importance to quality content and more importance to off page activity like more backlinks. As in bing it see site structure, meta, heading more. So it is but natural ranking will be difference in both search engine.

I know that bing likes pages with more than 1500 words and of course good authority backlinks...
Just going through the process myself and it's very convoluted...Watch out for these alledged SEO firms that want to charge you thousands for pseudo-expertise... As someone who worked in the Advertising biz for decades, I find the SEO busienss rife with charlatans ready to take your cash ...
As mentioned above, be very wary of SEO firms who will claim to get you to the top for a set fee. Whilst some maybe genuine, most are set to monopolize on your lack of knowledge on the subject and take your cash!
If you're planning to work with an SEO firm or company, a bit of general SEO knowledge is necessary, make sure you know exactly what you need doing first then ask them to quote you for that... Rather than letting them tell you what needs doing!
As for Bing and Google, in my experience Google seems to be ahead and more advanced in terms of algorithms... It seems google uses a huge number of factors in its algorithm, as mentioned heavy on link authority and cutting down on spam links/paid links... Where as Bing, much like Yahoo seems to place more importance on your onpage SEO, such as domain relevance, meta tags, titles, kw density and so on...
While I would put more focus and effort onto ranking for Google, as you said Yahoo+Bing make up nearly a 3rd of the market and is known to produce higher quality traffic to your site. So it definitely worth a bit of research to see how easily you could rank for your market/niche!

In the end the three want the same thing, quality content, quality backlinks and quality structure. When this is done I'm sorry to say but it really does come down to time, you will see results. I own a site that was doing terrible in bing in yahoo but was on the front page of google for a very generic term. I stopped paying so much attention to the search engine rankings for about 3 months and when I came back it was number 2 in every search engine. The domain has the keyword in it, that helps a great deal in my experience.

You have to do few things similar in both search engines :
Backlinks from article, directories and other sources.
Error free pages, no 404 pages, good internal structure.
Other things are : Bing search engine loves updated content, error free websites. So cross check the websites for any error.
