HelloI wanted to see how other business owners are balancing their online marketing/advertising vs. traditional marketing/advertising. I know of many businesses in my industry abandoning traditional marketing altogether, focusing only on online methods. At the same time, there are some businesses that have not ventured into the online world for business, prefering to go the traditional route. As for myself, I have found targeted online marketing such as business websites, Google Places, blogs, etc, to be very effective. I have also found that some traditional marketing and advertising resources, such as the yellow pages (books) and television, to be ineffectual.Interestingly, other traditional approaches, such as active involvement in my local chambers of commerce, continues to be an important and sustainable business strategy. In fact many of my marketing ideas come from other local businesses which share their business experiences at chamber meetings. Lately, our chamber discussions have been about social networking, online reviews, and Google's +1, to name a few subjects.I am interested about other small business owners' industries, what approaches work, and which don't, and how other businesses are apportioning their time and resources towards today's marketing and advertising.Thanks.Gregory
