Debt collector talking to employees

I run a small business and am behind with a vendor (a major soft drink company). They called and told my employee there was a problem with my account and that they were going to come and take the drink display unless I call them. This was the first time they had called (I haven't been ignoring any calls from them).
This seems so wrong. Is this a privacy violation? I read the consumer fair debt collection doesnt apply to businesses. Are there any rules for business debt collectors?
They also applied a 50% penalty to the account. How can that be right?
Any input would be appreciated.
