I'm new to the online ecommerce scene and I've reached a stumbling block when it comes to choosing the right web host for my online store. All of my searches seem to bring up dozens of different web hosts that offer a variety of products and services. I like the idea of having options but I'm having difficulty in determining which ones are the best. Searching for reviews seems to be a dead end as well because most of the major sites are just paid for advertising for web hosts and not actual legitimate reviews. I've been trying to narrow the field by looking at server uptimes, support, easy to use interface, scalability, secure and easy checkout for customers, and cost. I'm a do-it-yourself kind of person and my instincts are telling me that I may have to just pay for a web design firm to handle all this for me. With a very limited start up budget I was hoping to avoid that avenue. So if any of online business entrepreneurs have any suggestions or advice that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pat L. Edit With a little more research I've found that it's far more complicated than picking the right web host. There are many options and ecommerce solutions available. Hosting is only one facet of the experience. I still look forward to any suggestions anyone has.
