Is it better to do a non-profit organization or profit

I'm trying to start a new business and every question that is ask to me is,
will I be starting a non profit organization

for profit activities as for profit businesses just so they can easily report
their taxable income.
I.e., it's sometimes easier and less expensive to pay a bit of tax than to
deal with the compliance requirements of a non profit entity...
Just a thought.

is better to start a non-profit or a for-profit business. To become a
non-profit, you will need to obtain non-profit status from the IRS. (You can
find much information on their web site and links to the forms you need to
complete.) The process is time-consuming and there is a cost involved. Not
all business types qualify for non-profit status, so you will want to be
certain yours does before you spend the time and money.
