Used car dealer insurance is a business insurance coverage while personal car insurance is for personal use. I would suggest that you check with your industry group for recommendations on the carriers that your colleagues use. Again, carriers options differ from state to state. Also keep in mind that you will need general liability coverage and coverage on your parking lot. I highly recommend contacting your industry group and learn as much as you can about all the issues that you need to protect yourself from. What's the cheapest way to get your dealers license? I'm currently dependent on people with dealers licenses. I'm located down in the miami/fort lauderdale area and have about 5K to put down but hear they rang up to 10K. Any ideas?
