I was asked to give an entrepreneurship lecture at Syr. this fall. I have an hour to give the students what I know about business.
I figure to cover the following topics:
Sales, Management, Marketing (Online), and I am thinking of others. Any suggestions that you think that they should know (and hopefully I know) would be much appreciated as I am not a good teacher and will probably be nervous.
How about some practical exercises where they have to work in a team, come up
with a small business idea and implement it? They have to compete with each
other and at the end of the term you can discuss lessons learned, challenges,
who made the most money, etc
Possible topics include how university students can start their own business without a lot of capital and how small ideas can lead to new innovations. This post was edited to remove a link.
