Hi everyone! Google can no longer be fooled by links, links, backlinks (. Edu,. Gov) favors you might immediately but after some months everything returns to normal., The importance for a link or connection is through anchor text , websites same theme, pointing directly to the information rather than home or beginning of the website in question.The only way to take advantage will be through-relevant rich content and support that may mean for end users and potential customers (information) text and more text, but of quality, this latter is pure SEO, greetings.

Well, who knows if this post was just an advert for his business, or if the poster is checking back on this. But an SEO company does not really need a partner, as much as it needs to get leads in order to get more business. If a company specializes in SEO they need a PR type person. To go to networking events, conferences, participate in forum and other online communities and speak with people one on one about services. I also have a small SEO company, but I only do work for people I know personally, or people i often give advice to online, that I have known over a period of a few months. I advise you to just hire a PR person, or a media manager, rather then form a partnership for 50/50 which would long term diminish your returns.

Starting an SEO business will be very hard to start up since of the competition out there. Also, people who open there own online store, if they are lucky like me will do all the SEO themselves. It takes lots of money to have someone else do the SEO, and some people just don't have that extra money to spend. Just do your homework first, and I'm sure if your mind is set on it then you can do it. Good luck in the SEO business if you decide to go on with it.

I think it's important to remember that most business owners aren't familar with how SEO works and terms like the Google Dance, etc etc. On your site, are you explaining how the process will work? How will you work with site owners? Do you have written testimonials on your site? Video testimonials? Case studies? I think most, if not all SEO firms fail to land new business because they don't share enough information with potential customers.

First of all your website has to set an example for others to see what you can do. Second despite of too much competition out there you will still get your share if you look for clients working on one-on-one basis that is being comprehensive, responsive, fast, polite and effective (effective, you know, less time, money and more results) - if you know your job, your business will be word of mouthed.

I'll suggest trying the more SEO oriented boards around the web to find a partner. It depends, of course on what you're looking for. Check out Warrior Forum, Digital Point and V7N for starters as they all have matchmaking services. You can also take smaller jobs via Odesk. When I've been interested in outsourcing SEO work, that's where I've turned.

Here's my two cents about starting an SEO business...   It's true that getting into this game is really tough and there are a lot of big players that can eat up the competition but the market is not yet saturated. Why? Because there are a lot of people who wants to be their own boss and sooner or later they will eventually have their own website to showcase their wares. That's why this forum is pretty active! ;)   It's pretty ironic that in order to lift your SEO business from the ground, you will not focus on optimizing your very own websites first to search terms such 'SEO company', 'SEO services', etc. Why? Because you're a new comer, and ranking to those keywords in search engine specifically in Google will bring more bad than good to you and to your business and besides, it will burn you out with those goals. You will not be ready to the surge of visitors that are looking for an SEO company to optimize their websites. Run a quick check at Google SERPs with the term 'SEO company' and you've got approximately 13 million pages in the competition. And using the Adwords' keyword selection tool, the said search term has more than 40k monthly global search volume. Imagine let say, 1 percent in that traffic are real clients, you've got 400 potential clients monthly on the average!   I am with the poster above who said that you need to establish credibility. That's your stepping stone in this business. Otherwise, you'll end up with some unreliable clients that will not sustain your company's growth.   Having a partner in the US or establishing your own company will help. At least your company can meet your prospect clients face to face and also one way of establishing credibility in the field. I believe with regards to that there are resources here on how to establish a company in the US if your a foreigner.   There will always be a room for another SEO company as well as to businesses to other industries, really. You'll just have to know the rules of the game and be consistent. One of the pitfalls to business startups is they tend to be inconsistent and lacks motivation to pursue their goals. If you know that you've got a good idea, just pursue it. And if it's really good, you'll eventually be reaping the rewards of your hardwork. Goodluck!
