We currently have a company registered in uk and looking to open a branch here in united states...iam a resident of the us, so i dont need a visa....how do i go bout it?

well, its a small business in the UK. it has been running for the past 10 years but we have decided to really make a go of it just recently. in the UK. there is also a subsidiary company in india which has 10 full time employees. the US would be a satellite office.

Anyone can open an LLC in any state, including non-residents. You can go online to file the paperwork for a fee. However, each state has its own fee structure and reporting requirements. Also, you will need a US tax professional to advise you on the pitfalls of this strategy.

I think you should require visa to open branch as you are not thier citizen and I guess you need visa too.
