will pay self-employment tax on your net income to cover Social Security and
Medicare. You will determine how much federal and state tax you must pay as
you complete your tax return. You can estimate what you may need to pay by
looking at your annual income and deducting expenses to determine your net
income. The IRS website lists the percent of net income you may be required
to pay. You can then do the math.
