Sold Out Creations has 10 years of freelance graphic designing, screen printing, heat pressing images, logos, letters, phrases and etc. on different garments and paper prints. I are looking to target the public customers more than others in the city of Memphis. I am allowing customers to use more of their creativity weather its urban or professional; design a shirt (any portion of the shirt) any way that they would like. We do our own artwork/graphics in-house allowing us to save customers on labor fees. Most of our competitors here in Memphis, TN pay third party contracted designers to do most of their art so it cost customers more. I have once worked for a screen printing company and have a friend that's in the printing servies industry. I am now wanting a piece of the pie in the market. I am steady growing now and starting a new trend for the public people to wear the ideas they think of as we make them come to life on garment for cheap (Starting at $3 per shirt wholesale, $5-$45 per shirt). Ok I am starting this business back up bigger and better with no revenue at all. I already owned a 15x15 heat press, Epson 1400, and a CIS system. My friend allowed me to use her computer so I just got my first order of shirts yesterday. Its my first order this year going as a real business not a hobby any more! I have gotten a EIN# but I have not gotten a DBA or business permit cause I have been doing all my work from home. I have a personal checking & savings account with Wells Fargo and now I'm looking to get a Business Cheacking/Savings Account for Sold Out Creations so I can keep track of business finances. I'm getting this business on the road now. I can do so much on the computer; for a long time I couldn't figure out what it is I wanted to do really. I have since landed my idea (Customizing T-Shirts) been working on/typing my business plan for about a month now. I'm on the 3rd edition of my business plan as I am making it more and more better to best suite this company, our competitors, and the market. I am now into getting a loan/grant to get my business close to my competitors in this shirt industry.

I would agree, your business should be registered before you start trading.
Typicaly you should register your business before you start making sales. Not only for legal requirements but because you dont want to have to deal with that while trying to keep up with orders after launching your business. Go to an accountant and they can help you get registered and recieve a sellers permit.
In most states you need to register your business name and entity type before you make sales, even if you are a homebased business. You will probably also need a sales tax permit and you may also need a city business license. If you are in business without these things, you could be shut down when you are discovered.

I also want to share one thing that if you choose to operate your new business as a partnership, corporation or cooperative, you need to register your business name, and most sole proprietorship will want to register their business name, too.
