Dislocated Worker

I became a dislocated worker in February 2012, after working for a company for almost 9 years. One Friday in February they decided to tell me that they no longer needed me. I had no warning what so ever. Before working for this company I worked for an insurance company for about 13 years. I am 47 years old, I have always had a job and now for the first time I am unemployed. So I decided that it was time to change careers and work towards earning a certificate to become a Pharmacy Technician. I am seeking financial help if available to be able to go down this road. I would like to find out if there are any programs or grants that maybe I would qualify for that would help cover the cost. I would prefer to take a course online, get certified and start working as a Pharmacy Technician as soon as possible. Is there any information or direction that you could point me towards to help me with my search?
Thank you,
Cindy Schuyler

training through a community college or another local program, not on-line.
The school admissions counselors have information on resources for grants and
loans and they can help you complete the necessary paperwork. As someone who
needs to upgrade job skills to obtain employment, there are programs for
which you may qualify.
