project-based approach to instruction in Empowerment. This Program is to
provide education, to the National Coalition against Domestic Violence.
D.I.V.A.S Club believes violence against women and children results from the
use of force or threat to achieve and maintain control over others in
intimate relationships, and from societal abuse of power and domination in
the forms of sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism,
able-bodyism, ageism and other oppressions. The women from D.I.V.A.S Club
recognize that the abuses of power in society foster battering by
perpetuating conditions, which condone violence against women and children.
D.I.V.A.S Club Educational Leadership Mission Statement The D.I.V.A.S Club
Educational Leadership Program prepares and supports highly skillful
visionary leaders who improve the lives of those group and individuals they
serve. The D.I.V.A.S Club Officers support skillful, reflective professionals
who improve the quality of life in diverse communities. We accomplish our
mission through implementation of learner-centered empowerment programs that
are developmental, inquiry-focused, and standards-based. Therefore, it is the
mission of D.I.V.A.S Club to provide support to the mistreated women and the
needed young Woman from this community, educating and empower women with a
deep understanding of the richness and complexity of a variety of contexts in
designing and implementing instruction empower themselves. Our goal is to
decrease rates of battering woman and children by providing care management,
support services, basic skills education, and resource coordination that can
offer viable alternatives to habits and choices that may lead to freedom of
abuse.
Finally, it includes examinations of the cultural, historical, social, and
critical dimensions to organize for collective power by advancing
transformative work, thinking and leadership of communities and individuals
working to end the violence in our lives.
