Hi there, I have a publishing business, that is registered in Oregon and is a single member LLC. The business is 100% online only (selling my books), never had an office and likely never will. I myself have moved to Maryland for a job. At the moment my business is still registered in Oregon and I use a virtual office service there as a mailing address. What I am wondering is if I have to move the business to Maryland as well? And if so, if I would have to move it every single time, that I move. I am a pilot as a day job, so I might be moving around states frequently for jobs.

If you write yourself W2 on the end of the year, you should definitely move your LLC to Maryland. While paying Oregon withholding tax while being Maryland resident, every year you have to file to Oregon to get withholding taxes back.

Because you are an LLC, you will need to have a registered agent in Oregon to represent your business. You can find information about that from the agency where you registered your business.
You can keep operating your business as is. You will just have to file your business tax return with Oregon and your personal tax return with Maryland. You don't have to live in a state where your business is registered.
