Do I need a business license for my ebay and amazon stores?

Hi, I list items from my ebay account, as a side job, but I'm interested in
developing it into a business. I'd also like to create and sell through an
amazon store as well.
Do I need to obtain a business license for this?

agency that registers businesses? That should be your first step. You will
need a business name in order to apply for additional licenses.
Then, check with your city clerk's office to find out if you need a business
license. Some cities license only a few select business types; others license
all businesses, even if they occur entirely online.
You will also need to obtain a sales tax permit if you have not yet done so,
assuming your state collects sales tax on in-state sales.

collects sales taxes (they probably want you to collect sales tax on stuff
you sell in state if you operate in a state with sales tax).
You may also need a business license from the municipality or county where
you operate.
Congrats, btw, on starting your business!

not have a business license. If you attended to open a physically store then
yes you will need one.
