Hello Everyone.

Three years ago, in between real jobs, my friend the doctor and me (the IT guy) decided to start a company to build websites for doctors.  Running a business, this is my first and about the 10th for my partner, has been the wildest and most interesting ride of my life.  It took a year to put together even a few sales, by the end of year 2 it looked like we could break even.  But this year is something else.  We are breaking out with several affiliations, hiring several people and starting to look like something much more than a hobby.

I'm so very pleased to have found this site as a resource.  Just reading through the postings, I've already learned a great deal.   I hope to make some new friends, maybe share some of our learning's.   

The big challenge we face right now is how to get bigger.   We have a little credit, but getting this far has extended my personal finances pretty much as far as they will stretch.   But opportunity knocks.   Our little tiny company is on the verge of some great BIG projects, if we can fund them and if we can scale.  I know this site is going to help us on that journey.  Thanks for letting us be a part of your community.

Hi there DocWebTRC, Welcome to the Community. I think you'll find yourself in good company here and I'm happy that you're already seeing value in the insight of our members. What a great story you share and an interesting niche you have serving the medical community, who traditionally may not be first movers when it comes to embracing technology in their practices. My daughter's prediatric practice just launched a website and I go there quite often for things I would otherwise call the office about, so I would imagine that initial investment pays off over time. Please browse around the community and take note of the discussion boards in particular. The Loans, Grants, and Taxes board might give you some interesting ideas/insight about access to capital as you look to expand. Feel free to comment or start a discussion of your own.
