Google will not scan emails. What matters is the conversion to your site which you can see after installing Google analytics.

Google robots don't crawl your email content. It is password protected which is basically telling Google not to index that page. Google crawlers are only out to find things they can add to the Google index. Since you haven't given Google permission to index your email content their crawls won't even go to your email account content.

I really don't believe there is anyway that google can track private emails. Mabye in groups such as yahoo groups that are open to the public domain.

I don't know what you mean by this question exactly....   If you're trying to ask whether email marketing campaigns are valued by googles algorithm, then I would say I don't think google has anyway of tracking email marketing so therefore I would say google has no view on this...   However as said before you can track where visitors to your site are being referred from...   Generally I would steer clear of email spamming people, but use emails to your advantage in other areas... Such as getting people to leave their emails when using your site then you can email them as they have given you their email address..   Rach.

No...not all. Its offline promotion technique. And Google doesn't have anything to do with this method except tracking the numbers of visitors, its getting from this method.   Btw Google not gonna tell you this much of visitors has come from your email campaign effort.   Email Campaign is just the way to inform about your website with interesting news, info or your product launch to the people. It would be better if you do the survey before your send mails to find out wether they are really interest in your e-mail.
