We use natural gas for tankless water heaters for heating thrpought hydronic floor heating system.

We go as far as to put plastic over leaky windows in the winter, and when we are slow we keep energy hogging equipment off as much as possible. We use big electric ovens to cure the ink on our shirts, and we've found that turning them on one at a time, until they get up to temp, then turning the next one on, helps reduce the peak draw on our electricity. The other things you can do are to shut down computers at night, leave minimal lights on and keep your equipment running efficiently and shut it down as soon as the shift is over. Long breaks and lunches are also things which waste energy.

I try to make full use of recycling and compost, as well as make sure electric appliances are turned off when not in use. I swear I can hear the buzz of electronics in the background. Would like to invest in solar energy in a few years too. I think that is very important for my life. As well as hybrid or electrical cars.

Turn off electricity when not used. Also solar saves energy!
