Looking for assistance with commerical and startup funding. I would like to have grant assistance in case my business doesn't profit right away. I would not have to be stuck with major bank loans.
If your business is a for-profit one, chances of getting a grant are slim unless you have developed a new, cutting edge technology. The few grants available are primarily for non-profits and for technology development, not for most for-profit endeavors.

Check out our section about Loans and Grants. Even though SBA does not loan money directly to small business owners, we play an important role for people who want to finance or grow their business. When you apply for a SBA-backed loan at your local bank or credit union, you are asking SBA to provide a guarantee that you will repay your loan as promised.
