Can anyone help me find valuable and useful information on grants or guaranteed loans for minority businesses. I am in the construction industry, work zone traffic control, and I need financial assistance to take my company to the next level. I have been looking endlessly and have found little or nothing.
Forget about grants - you will just be wasting your time.
Have you thought about using current busienss financial assets to get funding. These are called assets based financing and can include purchase order financing, accounts receivable financing or business cash advances.
There are also bank SBA loans you might qualify for or even the many non-bank lenders that would love to help your business since it is already established.

Bones46 is right. Federal and state government agencies do not provide grants for starting a business, paying off debt, or to cover operating expenses. Government agencies do not provide 'special' grants for women, minorities, veterans or disabled entrepreneurs. Read more about it in our blog article, The Truth About Government Grants.
