My husband and I are looking to start a business. We are okay with the
marketing side and the theory of running the business, but the details of the
finance sheets on the SBA business plan are too much for us! Would you
recommend hiring a CPA to help with these sections?

you through all of your business plan including your financials. There are
Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), SCORE offices and your local SBA
office that can help you and help you for free. Plus, they might be able to
add aditional insight that a CPA cannot. If you are too far away from a
SCORE, SBDC or SBA office - then you can contact a SCORE memeber online via
email. All of these are SBA supported organization and since these are free -
should be taken advantage of before paying someone else.
