Finding products to sell to the Government

My friend wants to get into the Government Contracting business. He would like to sell medical supplies. Will he be able to find Supplies companies online to get the products? He went to this workshop that you have to pay $5000.00 to learn the business. He didn't take the class, but the teacher said he can google to find products...(!!!) Also, do you need to be in business for 2 years before you can get a contract ? Thanks for your help.

Hey James, I recommend you to check and examine carefully past G-contracts
winners, through records.... you can use a service online for that purpose,
but that will definitely help you building the pool for your business... Bet

Not all government contract require two years of business it all depends on which agencies and commodities you pursue, currently GSA has government contracts in medical supplies under Schedule 65 IIA. Regarding selling his supplies I am unclear about your question hopefully you are saying he already has the supplies and wants to sell them to the government, if so please view the gsa e library and type in the schedule number that I provided earlier to look at other vendors that are selling within this particular commodity. Please take note of what each vendor offers as their selling price this can give you an idea of how he wants to configure his prices. You can view this at http://www.gsaelibrary.gsa.gov/ElibMain/searchResults.do. You can click on each category provided and the listing of vendors will appear.
