Getting Business.GOV More into the Social Network

Now, it's that time in the age of the internet where social networking and social bookmarking is king. Why should business.gov not be part of it's court?! There should be a simple way to add specific posts to social networks and bookmarking sites (twitter, facebook, digg, etc) at the top of each thread or at the bottom. This is easy to intergrade and if the basic HTML code is needed I can provide it. I provided a SIMPLE sample of how it could be placed... one of 3 optimal places that would be effective.

All, Thanks for your suggestions regarding social media. We are in the process of reviewing several new social media functionalities including the 'I Like' feature from Facebook. Nevertheless, as a government site we have to do our due diligence and make sure that Business.gov does not unintentionally break any privacy laws. Social media can be very tricky in this area. As such, it takes us a little longer to implement these kinds of things. Rest assured, we'd like to give you as much of these convenient features as possible. thanks!Stuart

Make it linked to other social such linkedin. facebook, myspace, etc And make this forum looks alive

Stuart, I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'd love to see Facebook 'Like' status integrated into the forums somehow.

Thanks Noah, Actually, if you look at any of the news articles you can see that there are bookmark capabilities as well as Twitter and Facebook links. Is that what you're talking about? Also, don't forget you can always 'Subscribe to RSS Feed' under the options button. Best, Stuart
