We are a nonprofit Ministry have been operating on personal funds. Recently we obtained our FEIN number. Now we are trying to obtain our 501(c)(3) in order to receive grants and begin to operate. My interest is, Where can we go to get money to obtain our 501(c)(3)? Thank you.
You need to go to the IRS but you don't need to apply if you fall under
certain conditions. If you are not operating on business funds and personal
only then you don't need to do this..
Do you mean help for the IRS registration fee? I noticed your profile says
that you are based in S.C. have you tried a site like http://www.scanpo.org/
They seem to be the SC non-profit organization, they might have some
fundraising ideas. The SBA is mostly for "for profit" small business
financing.
