I found it easy to get started and open my doors, but driving customers is
another matter. The reason I said easy getting started is because Phatema Bay
is an online home and garden decor store. With the array of products we carry
and our ability to keep prices low has not proven in our favor. Despite the
handing of flyers, posting ads and the online marketing we're done nothing
seems to be happening. We receive lots of hits on on the website, but no
sales. we're were contemplating on issuing a line of credit, but that not the
up front sales we need at this time.
My question is does anyone have any ideas as to why we have no sales??

If you promote your business online (website). You should doing research of
keyword and find buying keyword of your product. Meaning you can try to be as
a customer that looking for your product sell and really want to buy it. What
would you try to type in search box. That's buying keyword for your site.
Good Luck!

of websites it can be hard to get the right customer to your store. You said
you are getting lots of traffic on your website but what kind is it? Is it
from Google Adwords or the organic (regular) listings in Google? Do you have
Google Analytics on your site so you can see where your clicks are coming
from? Maybe you are getting traffic from the wrong countries. Maybe you
getting traffic from customers who are just looking for free decoration
advice. Analytics will tell you and it is free. One issue I can see is the
domain name itself. Your domain name does not tell your potential customer
what you sell. A domain that explains what you sell might attract more
attention. Something like HomeDecorationAndMore.com or
HomeAndGardenDecorStore.com might work better. I would also make your contact
info like address and such more prevelant. Google will rank websites better
that display their address and phone number prominently. If you do not want
folks to know your address buy a post office box in Bangor and use the post
office's address as your street address. Your website is great. If you get
the right customers to your store you will get sales. You have done the hard
work well. Keep up the good work....

assuring and professional enough for visitors to part their money. This could
have affected your conversion rates.
What are your unique selling points? What are the benefits buying through
your site? These could be highlighted on your home page.
Just my 2 cents...
Also spotted a typo error: "Decrorative" on your left navigation bar.

I did a quick scan of a few items you have for sale. Let's use the Flag
Flying Eagle. Brand new on Ebay for $18 and you are asking $41. You say the
retail is $47.20 - on Ebay the full retail is $29. There are many other
examples.
You are at a huge disadvantage on price. Online, when you are competing
against proven sellers, that could be an insurmountable problem. Look at
different products to compete - don't waste money and effort to drive traffic
to your site if buyers are price shoppers and your items are much more
expensive. I hope I was not too blunt.

Daniel
