getting stressed out....looking for web sites with free federal grant information

good morning

 

I'm looking for websites that offer free federal business grants. looking for the sites that will let me download the grant application with zero dollars needed. I've found plennty of sites with grant applications but they all want to make some money. the only site I've found is grants.gov are there any more sites that provide the same kind of information as grants.gov?

Barbara, The Federal government does not provide grants to small businesses. Grants.gov provides information on federal grants available to non-profits, educational institutions, and state and local governments. Some federal grant programs are open to for-profit businesses, but these are usually very specialized, such as medical or agricultural research. Web sites offering information on free grant money are scams. Check out the recent blog post on government grant scam sites. Federal and state governments do guarantee low interest loans aimed for business owners who are having trouble getting loans through traditional channels. As JamieD points out, you can use the Loans and Grants search tool to find these.
