• The Loans & Grants Search Engine allows you to input some criteria and get a list of financing programs that apply to you
• The Government Grants Guide provide information on small business grants
• The Loans & Grants Advisor provides news and current events info on financing programs available from government agencies and non-profits

The answer is NO. Stop waisting your time, the government does not give grants for these purposes. Please don't buy books, pay to attend seminars, etc. The answer is NO.

Bonnie   The top question I receive when soneone is looking to start a business  is where can I get a grant.  I think it is important to understand there are very few actual 'grants' available for starting a 'for profit' business.  The SBA website has an actual link discussing grants at http://www.sba.gov/services/financialassistance/grants/index.html    You may be eligible for small business loans from your local small business centers in your state.   I hope this helps, and good luck.   DJoyce

Well Bonnie, your coments are very fresh and I believe truthful.  I have looked for grants and they are hard to find.  I have not given up however.  I have a non-profit idea that will effect 4,000 plus Alaskan truckers hauling earth products for one grant and another for a large number of villages in Alaska that have airports but have no accommodations for visitors.  Unless you are family there is no place to sleep or even get a meal.   Both these non-profit grants would help a huge number of individuals.  It would help a number of cultures and improve the world of young people being lost in Alaska.   Maybe you can help?   Del Baldwin
