Hi all,

 

I'm thinking of starting a hostel in California, and I'd like to know if there are any grants out there for a woman, like myself, starting a hostel (you know, a backpackers lodging accomodation). If you know of anything, it would be a great help!

In general, grants are not usually available to for-profit businesses. However, because this is a tourism-related business, you may be able to qualify for a small grant from your state department of parks and recreation.
