Having trouble obtaining my first cleaning contract
by rdakins, Window Shopper

I'm in the process of starting my own cleaning service. I have everything
established besides a contract which is the most important piece. I have no
clue where to look as far as obtaining my first contract and how to price it.
I am a student and live in a college town so opportunities are limitless. Any
feedback on where to look for that first push is greatly appreciated.

research on the cleaning industry. You will find much information available.
Generally, business cleaning is priced either by the square foot, by the
element or a combination of both, such as dusting = one price, mopping =
another price, vacuuming = another price. The price also depends on how often
you clean. Some offices need to be cleaned only once or twice a week. Others,
such as lawyers' offices, need to be cleaned daily.
To secure clients, you might start by handing out flyers. Craig's List might
also work for your type of business.
