Hi everyone, my name's Chris and I just wanted to check if there are any other internet marketers here and if so, what sort of IMing do you do? Is it joint venture, building up lists etc? If so, would be great to get some replies as I'll be launching some of my own info products next year and will be in need of some affiliate/jv partners etc.

Hi as far as internet ads. and driving traffic directories are a great way to do both at one time. Some are Free others are paid. Its one way to spread the word on the internet about a site that you might be working on.

If you are going to be starting next year then you are in great position to learn before you step into internet marketing. I would suggest you become familiar with www.warriorsforum.com which is probably the largest source of IM information and learning on the internet. You can school yourself there and be ready for the challenges when you start your business.

But I think internet marketing is different from internet business.eCommerce,for example,requires a lot of internet marketing to aquire users,but the core competitive force lies in customer service and logistics - all off-line.

I'm sure you'll receive a million replies here....but there are quite a few IM specific forums which have message boards for joint ventures. I'd start with one of those since you're reaching a captive audience.
Also, depending on your product, reach out to off line businesses. As an example, if someone had a 100k list of wine buyers, or home wine makers, I'd love to email market that list.
There are so many forms of internet marketing as posted previously. You need to do alot of research on your industries popular key terms, use backlink checkers to see where your competitors are getting their juice from, social media avenues, etc. There are also many other avenues of advertising and marketing. There is direct mail marketing, radio, television, telemarketing, billboard ads and more. It is never a good marketing idea to put all your marketing dollars into one basket.
I am quite satisfied with you. Really there are so many competator in market but you have to focus on your own business and make some resarch to get backlinks.
Hi Chris,Assuming you were really asking and not just coming here to drop your link (which they removed), I can tell you that I've done some affiliate marketing in the hobby-related field, and also in the fashion area. It's a great way to build up some SEO skills which I also use in my main consulting business. If you have any projects that you need some professional marketing help with let me know. My recommendation to people getting started in internet marketing is to learn for free... don't join any of those paid sites until you know what you are getting into.

My main focus has been social media, since I do it so much in my spare time anyway. Learning how to balance business with social media has been a challenge but seems to be working for us!
