I am a stay home mom of five. I am starting making cakes from home and would like to be licensed and start making a profit also. My husband was recently fired and we sure need some extra money now.
I have made some cakes as gifts and decided that this is what I love to do.
So I hope to find some information and guidance to start my own business.

As you get started, I encourage you to check out the resources on Business.gov. I think the Starting a Business section will be especially helpful (there are also lots of resources on Home Based Businesses) as will the Register, Licenses and Permits section.
There is also a lot of discussion going on right now in the Starting a Business and Home Based Business Forums in the Community so check that out and feel free to join the conversation or start one of your own.
