I have been a sole prioritor of my small business for 11 years. I want to grow my business more and I am wanting to go to school and train for inspecting the ansul systems in all my customers and others. I just recieved my LLC, and I am working on a business loan . I have to create a business plan and that is not working out as I wished. I have been in business for all these years but a business plan has stopped me in my tracks.I need help with this but I do not want to pay for help . Does anyone know how I can get some help. I also wish to mention that I am a female business owner, in the event there is a resource available for a minority owned business.

After reading this article, I must say that you have included a lot of great and rewarding information. I have suffered several times in the past when creating a Business Plan, regarding: What to include, how to set it out, how to manage the business etc. However, whilst researching online I came across a great online planning/management tool. It was free so I thought “What the hell” and gave it a go. I tell you now, it was the best tool I have used in a long while. Usually, creating an in-depth Business Plan has taken me weeks and even months to complete in the past. This extremely helpful tool, helped me reduce that time significantly. It asks you questions, essentially telling you what to include. And if that isn’t enough, Guidance, Examples and online resources are provided also. I totally recommend it to anybody who is considering creating a Business Plan in the future. (This post was edited to remove a link. As BizResearcher mentioned, one approach that may be useful is talking to a mentor who could offer you specific guidance or reaching out to one of SBA's resource partners like SCORE, Women’s Business Centers and Small Business Development Centers. They're located across the country and provide free business counseling to individuals looking to start or expand a small business. Visit SBA Direct to find your local SBA resource partners by entering your zip code.

Contact a small business development center, womens business center, or a
SCORE office in your area. Their services are free and they can help you
create your business plan.

Well, any loan or government grant is going to require that you have a well
structured business plan. Without one, investors or government agencies won't
take a risk on a business which doesn't have a sound concept for it's growth
and sustainability. There are lots of resources on the internet on how to
structure a business plan, and I'm sure that if you have an accountant they
might be able to help with the numbers
