hi my name is bertrina, and i need to find out what all do i need to start an internet business i am the ceo and have 2 partners. do i need a dba because i am getting conflicting information about that. How much will i be spending ball park figure to get licensed, and to get my business name registered

Hello and welcome to the Business.gov Community! What type of services will you provide? For the most part, starting an online business is the same as starting any other type of business. However, there are additional issues to consider like privacy, security, copyright, and taxation. I suggest beginning with the Steps to Registering a Business and Business Name Registration pages for more information. I also suggest checking out the Business.gov page dedicated to online businesses which provides information about protecting your customers' privacy and collecting sales tax over the internet.

Hi layshaun25, If you're starting a corporation, LLC, or limited partnership, your business name will be automatically registered when you file your articles of incorporation with your state government.
