I have been in business for 5 years this coming November. I started this
business with my own money and is financing it myself. I am going to hire a
full time employee in November and is looking at doing a 5 year celebration
doing the black friday sale day. I have been advertising a lot and have been
getting my name out there. I am an upscale boutique. I want to know how to
tap into carrying more upscale jewelry. I design most of what I carry in the
store. Also is there any grants for me. I am a minority business woman. How
do I tap into hollywood type jewlery and big bling other that Sam Moon and
Hanna Ds. I want top of the line jewelry. I would also like to carry what TJ
MAX and some of what ROSS carry. How do I connect with companies to let them
know I am a buyer. Is there a way for me to connect other than going to the
Dallas Market or Georgia Market.

(both professional and homemade) is becoming extremely competitive and is
further advanced by online sales and independent artist sites like Etsy. I
encourage you consider the grants that are available for businesses like
yours and I welcome you to the jewelry industry!

best bet to connect with the companies you are interested in is to attend the
markets. If you cannot do that, then check the web sites of the companies to
see if you can find contact information and information about retailing their
products. If you can find smaller, high quality, jewelry makers, they may be
more interested in working with you than a large company.
