Several RFP's on FBO are of interest to our small (<10 employees) company. But many have a requirement for the contractor to have a DC-area office, such as being able to meet with gov reps 'with a 70 minute notice'.
How do really small companies ever get considered unless they're located in the DC-area?
Very interesting question. I wonder if there are any small businesses online who would like to share insight on this issue?
Agencies tend make this requirement for specific reasons. Depending on your line of business you are in, would subcontracting or a teaming arrangement with another business make sense?
