How to find products to sell to government?

I want to get into the Government Contracting business.  I would like to sell medical supplies.  Do I find Medical Supplies companies online to get the products?  I went to this workshop that you have to pay $5000.00 to learn the business.  I didn't take the class, but the teacher said you can google to find products.  Also, do you need to be in business for 2 years before you can get a contract?

You could try using the 'Google Adwords Keyword Tool' so you can find out what people are searching for.
Before purchasing products, you need to know what the various government agencies need. The Veteran's Administration purchases a huge number of products for VA hospitals. You might spend some time on federal web sites and your state purchasing site to see what products are most often put out to bid. Then, if you find products you might be able to provide, you can go forward with setting up your business. You may find that some product requirements are more specific than what you can obtain by ordering off the web. You may need to locate and contract with a select number of vendors who are engaged in the production of specialized products.

I'm guessing here but I believe they might be talking about a GSA schedule. As I recall you need to have 25K in sales and the 2 years can be solved by purchasing a shell corporation with 2 years in business. The problem is having the 25K in sales.
