I am an internet marketing expert in Houston, TX. One question that I believe
comes to a lot of small business owner's minds is whether or not internet
marketing is really necessary or effective.
Advertising online has become more prominent than ever. Just by looking at
Google and Facebook's revenue earnings in 2011, you can see that. I would
like to get small business owner's viewpoints on what SEO or Social media has
done for their business. Anyone had any success?

internet. This means internet is a good source to maximize the sales, market
share and customers as well as you can search and grab more new markets.
Many businesses I've worked for now using this medium to maximize their
business visibility on internet and now are getting fruits.

There are some small, local businesses that don't need a website, but may
benefit from having a Facebook page or something similar. For instance, I
have a friend who owns a wallpaper hanging and residential painting business.
Most of their business comes from referrals and they are as busy as they want
to be without the need for a website. They have chosen not to advertise at
all except through networking with current customers and paint and wallpaper
stores. So, it really depends on the type of business and how they want to
grow or IF they want to grow.
